Find Out About The Case
That Every Other Funder Rejected ![]() |
| On October 3, 2007, JP was doing concrete masonry on the 10th floor of a Manhattan high rise when a runaway steel beam hit him in the jaw and knocked him off the scaffold. His supervisors sent him home, but JP knew he needed stitches and went to a local hospital. Stitched up, he returned to work the next day — even though he was still sore and in pain. From that point on, he was only able to handle light work — and his salary was downgraded from $26/hour to $11/hour. Finally, he was laid off because there was not enough work for his downgraded skill level.
The pain, however, did not go away. JP returned to the hospital and obtained x-rays of his neck and back. He’d finally found the source of his continuing pain and disability — his back was broken in two places, and he had a pinched nerve that shot pain from his head all the way down his leg. By then he could barely stand.
After going through several medical and legal consultations, JP discovered he had a case that could settle for well into seven figures. But it was going to take several years to go through the system, and JP was already in financial distress from the months of lost income before he was laid off. With 5 dependent children, the family’s savings dwindled quickly.
JP’s lawyer gave him a few numbers to call for lawsuit funding. All but one told him to come back when his case was closer to settling. But JP and his family weren’t going to make it that long. The one exception was Broadway Funding Group (BFG).
After a 5-minute conversation with JP’s lawyer, BFG president, Vitaly Ostrovski, was confident enough in the case to issue JP a check — for $10,000.
“I felt like I could breathe again,” said JP.
As the case gets closer to settlement, JP is getting phone calls from the funding institutions he first contacted. The very same ones who turned him down.
“BFG was there when I needed them,” explained JP. “They were willing to take a risk when the other guys weren’t. That’s worth a lot to me and my family. There’s no way I’m switching.”
Today, while he is waiting for his case to settle, JP is able to call BFG on an as-needed basis for cash advances. The amount advanced has allowed his family to maintain their home and lifestyle since before JP was injured.
“I don’t know where we would be now if it weren’t for BFG,” said JP.

See When Repayment
Reductions Happen ![]() |
| RD was a passenger in a car sideswiped by a van that left the scene without stopping. This was only the beginning of his problems. He was stuck with his injuries, the bills and the time lost from work. To make matters worse, the no-fault insurance company ruled that knee surgery wasn’t medically necessary. But without it, RD had no chance of a full recovery from his injuries.
RD couldn’t afford to get the surgery that he desperately needed in order to go back to work, earn a living and cover his bills. He was stuck and the debts were mounting. Until he found relief at BFG.
Using BFG’s Concierge Services, RD’s appointments with a knee surgeon, transportation to his appointments, and the bills for the surgery itself were all handled. Plus, BFG gave him a cash advance to make up for his lost wages during recovery.
When the case finally settled — two years after the date of the accident — the settlement amount simply wasn’t enough to satisfy the various liens RD owed. In many cases, when this happens, people like RD can find themselves going straight from court . . . to collections. But not RD.
Instead, BFG continued taking care of RD by lowering the repayment amount by over 68%. And for the second time in this case, RD walked away from the accident with a clean bill of health.
“From the beginning, BFG took care of everything — bills, appointments, transportation, the works. It was such a relief dealing with a company who treated me like I was family. I’d recommend them to anyone facing similar problems,” says RD.

Learn How Surgery
Made The Difference ![]() |
| KH already lived on the edge. She was unemployed. She was a single mother of two, plus she had other family members who depended on her. She spoke little English. And she had no health insurance.
So when she tripped, fell and tore the ligaments in her knee — there was no safety net to catch her.
KH faced a Catch-22 that is not unusual in personal injury cases. She needed surgery to get back on her feet, but she had no way to pay for it.
Without the surgery, she probably didn’t have a chance of winning a settlement in her lawsuit. With surgery, she did.
That’s where BFG came in. BFG arranged for her surgery — and covered the cost — while the case is under consideration. BFG even arranged for her transportation to and from the procedure. KH lives in New Jersey, but her accident occurred in New York and is being handled in the New York court system.
“Without this funding from BFG, I probably would not have even been able to take this case. But now, KH has an excellent chance of obtaining a settlement . . . one that could greatly help her and her family,” says G.S, Esq., a New York Metropolitan area personal injury attorney.
